Earlier today the VDSN hosted an event for the Victorian space sector seeking to participate in the International Astronautical Congress 2025 (IAC 2025) being held in Sydney later this year.

Nearly 10,000 national and global participants will converge on Sydney from 29 September to 3 October for IAC 2025. This international event is being held in Australia for just the 3rd time in its long history and for the first time since 2017.

Attendees were briefed by Lisa Vitaris, Director IAC 2025 on the congress program, delegations, opportunities for participation and other strategic details. This was followed by panel insights featuring Lieutenant General (Ret'd) Larry James, Ms Tamara Bell, Austrade and Luke Phillips, Director International Partnerships at the Australian Space Agency.

The event was expertly hosted by Ms Anny Dailey, Defence Council Victoria and seeks to coordinate and leverage opportunities for Victorian university and SME participation.
