PRIVACY POLICY

Purpose:
The Victorian Defence and Space Network (VDSN) is committed to collecting and using data in a transparent and responsible manner to support the goals of the network, including promoting Victorian industry capabilities, identifying opportunities, and informing collaborations with government and industry stakeholders.
Data Collection and Use:
Members of VDSN give permission for their data to be collected and used for the purposes of advancing the goals of the network. The ownership of the data entered by members remains with the members. VDSN will only use the data entered by members for the purposes outlined in the VDSN Membership Agreement. Members can withdraw their permission to use their data by providing written notice to VDSN.
Aggregated Data:
VDSN may aggregate the data entered by members to create reports and analyses on industry trends, risks, and opportunities. The aggregated data become the property of the Victorian Government, and VDSN will share this data with the Australian Industry Defence Network (AIDN) as a contract partner. The data will be used by VDSN and AIDN to advocate for SMEs, promote capabilities, and identify capacity.
Confidentiality:
VDSN is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and security of member data. The network will take reasonable steps to protect member data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
Compliance:
VDSN is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations governing the collection and use of data, including the Australian Privacy Act and the Victorian Privacy and Data Protection Act.
Access and Correction:
Members have the right to access and correct their data entered in the VDSN membership database. Requests for access or correction should be made in writing to VDSN.
Changes to the Data Policy:
VDSN reserves the right to make changes to this data policy at any time. Members will be notified of any changes to the data policy via email or other communication channels.
