The Victorian Government is pleased to announce the appointment of the Honourable Dr David Feeney as the Victorian Defence Industry Advocate.
Dr Feeney brings deep capabilities and a wealth of experience in defence matters. He previously served as the Federal Parliamentary Secretary for Defence, Shadow Assistant Minister for Defence and as a member of the Victorian Defence Council.
Since leaving parliament, Dr Feeney has continued to work at the intersection of defence and industry, serving as a Councillor and Senior Fellow at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute and as an occasional lecturer at the Australian War College.
As the Victorian Defence Industry Advocate, Dr Feeney will take a leading role in promoting Victoria’s defence and maritime capabilities to attract greater investment and trade opportunities for the state. He will also deliver on the Victorian Defence Vision Statement.
We thank and acknowledge Professor Regina Crameri, the outgoing Victorian Defence Industry Advocate, for her dedicated leadership in the role.
